Sarah Manders

Sarah has a unique combination of skills and experience, which combine both her fine art and psychiatric nurse training. This has led to her commitment and belief in the value of the arts to promote health, education and social inclusion.

Having worked with people for several years, as an artist it is not surprising that Sarah remains committed to working from the human form, specializing in teaching the time honored tradition of life drawing and painting.

No longer working as a nurse Sarah facilitates a wide range of community art workshops in Cumbria and Northumberland. More recently Sarah has begun to move away from working from the human form and her work has become influenced by her immediate surroundings, using charcoal, paints, mixed media and textiles.
