'Cumbria Dance Development' Vista Projects co-ordinates and delivers Dance Development work on behalf of Cumbria County Council.  The project has seen a significant uplift of professional interest in Dance in Cumbria.  Improved youth access to Dance and increased opportunities for participation. 'Melanie Park at Whitehaven Harbour'.  Melanie works in a new job serving leisure boaters.  This portrait was taken in 2008 in a project delivered with Jonothan Lynch to create an exhibition about the Harbour Commissioners for their 300th anniversary.
'Vista Veg' - Vista is working on a project to develop our box scheme into a community supported agriculture project (CSA) in 2009.  We are looking to apply our knowledge acquired in this project to the urban public realm. 'Black Mirror' Vista Projects and Landlab worked together to develop a £2.4million public art/public realm programme for Falkirk Council in support of its successful bid to the Big Lottery's Living landmarks competition.  Falkirk won ahead of 313 entrants across the UK to scoop the £25million pound grant.
'Exhibition installation' For the exhibition at the Beacon Museum celebrating the 300 years of Whitehaven Harbour.  Christian persuaded the commissioners to display their company records surrounded by portraits of themselves and their employees.  During the exhibition both groups sat for a group portrait amongst this material.  The portrait of the commissioners (11 metres by 4) was displayed in the harbour itself. 'Futurescope' is another collaboration between Christian and John Kennedy of Landlab, Futurescope will be a series of eight images 45 feet in diameter which will link the regeneration of Lingfield Point in Darlington to ecological and social themes.  The work will start in 2009 and end in 2011.  The project has been commissioned by Marchday and Lingfield Point Developments Ltd

Vista Projects (UK) Ltd (Lynn and Christian Barnes)

Vista Projects (UK) Ltd was formed in 2007. It was established to carry forward the work undertaken by Lynn and Christian Barnes as a partnership since 1999.
 
Vista Projects provides consultancy services across the arts but currently specialises in art for the public realm (Christian) and dance (Lynn). The company is commissioned in the North of England and in Scotland by a portfolio of public and private sector clients in the regeneration, local government and development sectors to initiate, manage and deliver a range of cultural and creative projects. 

The core company business is:-  1. developing creative briefs and client aspirations, 2. developing and managing art & design competitions,3. cultural strategy and policy development, 4. project management & coordination.  

Vista has research interests in energy crops and organic growing.

Christian sometimes collaborates with others to devise and propose artworks.
