• Cockermouth and District Agricultural Show : Enjoy this animated rural event with all the family as you savour the fun, entertainment and spectacle of livestock displays, show jumping, sheep dog displays, crafts, food, horticulture, terrier racing and much more.

• Solfest, Silloth : Now firmly established on the music festival calendar this award-winning gathering offers up a 'real' outdoor music and arts event experience.  This year's line up promises to be, as always, bigger and better than ever.

• Hesket Newmarket Agricultural Show : Native hill breeds, poultry classes, modern beef and dairy breeds, horse classes and craft displays all vie for your attention throughout this lively day-long show.

• Lakeland Trails Running and Walking Festival, Keswick : A 14km course through some of the most scenic and varied countryside in the Lake District.  The Milnthorpe Steel Band provides a party atmosphere at the start/finish point and there's children's fun runs too.
