• Eskdale Show : A classic country show set against the backdrop of the stunning Eskdale Fells, with classes for Herdwick sheep, foxhounds and terriers, along with hound trails, local handicrafts, children's sports events and fell races. 

6 December 2008

• Darkest Muncaster : A festive extravaganza of magical twinkling lights, special effects, music and sounds evoking a marvellously seasonal experience in the famous grounds of Muncaster Castle.The following dates in December apply:6th-7th, 13th-14th, 20th-21st, 26th-30th
