• Lowther Show : Another unforgettable portion of country life spread over this ever-popular 3-day carriage driving event.  There's also a non-stop arena programme and the immense 'shopping village' featuring more than 400 stalls, stands and marquees.

• FRED 2008 : The annual art invasion of Cumbria is happening again this year.  Artists from around the globe will be creating new work in some of England's most spectacular landscapes in what has become Europe's largest annual festival of site-specific art.

• Apple Day : Core blimey, it's back again!  Another very special day dedicated to the good old English apple and to help with the celebrations will be Morris Dancers, storytellers, musicians, games, archery, children's craft workshops and entertainment galore.
