  • Tenth Keswick Film Festival - April 2008 : The 10th Keswick Film Festival starts on Thursday night with the party for pass-holders followed by the opening film.  There are then films from around noon on Friday until Sunday night.  In all there will be almost 30 films from all over the world.  There will be guest Directors, Q & As and all the fun of the Festival.Passes £40, £32 for KFC Members and £21 for unwaged, under 16 and full time education.  Discounts for buying passes before Xmas.  Tickets £5, £4, £3 available from January.

  • Words by the Water Literary Festival : Lively 10-day literature festival, beautiful setting on banks of Derwentwater, 120 events featuring the best of modern writing by new and established authors.  Programme available early December.Individual tickets £8, young person/standby £5, day tickets and festival passes also available.

  • Keswick Mountain Festival, Keswick : Keswick Mountain Festival is an active event which showcases all of the adventurous activities that you can participate in and around Keswick.  This includes walking, mountain biking, climbing, scrambling, water activities and sporting events and much more.Free entry.  Some events free, some chargeable.

  • Ireby Music Festival, Ireby : Music festival with performances throughout the village including a main stage 500-seat heated marquee set in the grounds of Ellenside House.  Suitable for all age groups, headline artists are Eddie Reader, Spiers and Boden, The New Rope string band, White Mansions and Peter Donegan band.Adult weekend ticket £10 - £30, under 16 yrs £3 - £12, under 10 yrs free.

  • Woolfest, Cockermouth : A celebration of nature's finest fibres, with fleece animals, fleece sale, clothing, accessories, craft equipment, exhibitions, displays and workshops.Adults £6, accompanied children free.

  • Solfest, Silloth : Now firmly established on the music festival calendar this award-winning gathering offers up a 'real' outdoor music and arts event experience.  This year's line up promises to be, as always, bigger and better than ever.
