Millom Folk Museum

Now in new premises, displays include a tribute to Norman C Nicholson.  Reconstruction of iron ore mine working area with original Moor Bank Cage, photographs and artefacts of Millom Ironworks and unique sea barriers, miner’s cottage interior.  Also Blacksmith’s Forge and woodland industry, a corner shop, rural life and costume room, war time memorabilia.  There are further sections of Millom life, schools and childhood, Furness Railway.

Present Opening Times
Open Tuesday – Sunday inclusive 10.30 am – 4.30 pm.  Last entry 4.00 pm.

Admission £3.00 adult/£2 Conc/50p child/£6.50 family.

Disabled access, parking, café on railway platform.
