Penrith Museum (Eden District Council)

A museum in a listed building covering the local history, geology and archaeology of the Penrith area. Archaeological exhibits include Roman pottery from the Roman Fort near Plumpton and ‘cup and ring’ marked stones from Maughanby. A temporary exhibition gallery features changing exhibitions of local interest.

June – September.
Monday – Saturday 10am – 4.45 pm.
Sunday 1pm – 4.45 pm.

October – May.
Monday – Saturday, 10 am – 4 pm.

Follow signs for Museum and Tourist Information Centre building located near the Town Hall.
