Museum of Lakeland Life

The Museum of Lakeland Life shows how our Cumbrian ancestors worked, lived and entertained themselves in the changing social climate of the past three hundred years.  Our ancestors are long gone, but their belongings live on to tell their story – from the age of 18th century yeomen farmers, through Georgian and Victorian periods and into living memory.  

Open Monday – Saturday 

16 January - 21 December 2007 (closed Sundays)

Opening times:  10.30 am - 5.00 pm (closing 4.00 pm January to March and November to December)

Admission charge (concessions available).

Pay and Display parking outside the gallery, gift shops and partial wheelchair access.
