Allerdale Borough Council

The Arts Development programme in Allerdale supports groups who want to be actively involved in the arts by providing help, advice and in some cases grant aid. This support is available for projects across all the art forms – theatre, visual arts, creative writing etc. The objectives of the Arts Development programme can be summarised as follows:

To develop new audiences for the arts
To increase access to the arts
To encourage involvement in new art form areas
To establish new partnerships in arts practise

The key strategic functions of this service are referenced in the Allerdale Arts Strategy, and the ABC Leisure Service Plan/Arts Action plan. Copies of all these documents are available on request.
