Tullie House is a leading Museum, and a major visitor attraction. It also provides an arts development service for the Carlisle district.

As well as events and exhibitions at Tullie House, we promote the Stanwix Arts Theatre programme which is based at Cumbria Institute of the Arts and a music programme at William Howard School in Brampton. We also organise the annual Brampton Live Festival, the biggest folk music festival in the north of England.

At Tullie House, our combination of permanent displays, many of them enjoyably interactive and 'hands on', changing exhibitions, exciting events and workshops makes the museum a thriving centre of activity where there is always something to see or do for visitors of all ages. The main Art Gallery is the best equipped in the north of England and presents exhibitions of the highest quality, with an emphasis on contemporary art and crafts
