Vision and Media Cumbria Film Office

The Vision and Media Cumbria Film Office provides a free liaison service to all film and television production companies looking to film in Cumbria.  Vision and Media is the film, TV and media development agency for England's North West.  It is a not-for-profit organisation working to attract new productions and inward investment into the region, with offices in Lancashire, Manchester, Liverpool, Cheshire & Warrington and here in Cumbria.

The Cumbria Film Office offers a one-stop-shop to all production companies wanting to film in Cumbria.  This may include assistance in finding locations, local crew, facilities and service companies.  In addition the film office is there to liaise between the production and location owners, local authorities, police, highways and other organisations to ensure the shoot on location is as smooth as it can be.

The premier Vision and Media Cumbria Film Office was officially launched on 1st December 2005 and is co-located at Cumbria Tourism in Staveley and the University of Cumbria in Carlisle.  The funding and in-kind partners currently consist of members from R.A.C.E.S at University of Cumbria, Cumbria County Council, Carlisle City Council, Cumbria Tourism and Cumbria Vision.
