FIRST STEPS IN ARGENTINE TANGO

A short course of three one hour lessons  We will cover the six basic steps of Argentine Tango and how to use them on the Dance Floor.  Join us in the  TITHE BARN, West Walls, Carlisle  Thursday 24th April, Thursday 1st May and Thursday 8th May  starting at 8.00pm  followed by an optional one hour practice session where you can try out what you have learned  £5 for the full course.    Full-time Students or unwaged   £3.50  Bringing a partner to learn with is nice BUT NOT ESSENTIAL, but smooth soled shoes that slide are.  Contact :- Tim Wood, email twood6@toucansurf.com or phone 01946 810574  to register your interest and for further details.   (He will reply by 15th April)

NEW DANCE OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUNGSTERS!

Cumbria County Council has created a wide range of new opportunities for young people across Cumbria to learn and perform dance.  The project, which has been operating in some districts since October 2006, has been funded by Sport England, Cumbria’s borough and County councils, Youth Work in Cumbria Partnership, Arts Council North West, and local School Sports Partnerships.  The opportunities are all of high quality and are highly subsidised to ensure access for all.

September will see the launch of new dance classes in addition to those already existing.  The current weekly sessions are as follows:-Saturdays 10.00-11.00am Breakdance
